Democrat Ryan McKenna’s of St. Louis’ first piece of legislation was renaming part of  Interstate 70 Mark McGwire Highway. But now that Big Mac has admitted steroid use, the Senator wants to change the name back to Mark Twain Highway.

With that in mind, here are some quotes from Mark Twain himself, that reveal he wasn’t all that different from Mark McGwire:

My body is my own, at least I have always so regarded it. If I do harm…it is I who suffers, not the state.

A man is never more truthful than when he acknowledges himself a liar.

It’s good sportsmanship to not pick up lost golf balls while they are still rolling.

Facts are stubborn, but statistics are more pliable.

If the world comes to an end, I want to be in Cincinnati. Everything comes there ten years later.

Man will do many things to get himself loved, he will do all things to get himself envied.

The more things are forbidden, the more popular they become.
